We are an open-source community team. We build free, practical tools for people who work with Chinese text every day, and we keep the core of what we build open to anyone who wants to use it.
We are a small group of developers, language enthusiasts and writers who share a common interest in how Chinese text is processed, rewritten and understood. We collaborate in the open, we review each other's work, and we prefer to solve a problem once and share the solution rather than keep it behind a wall.
We are not a large company and we do not pretend to be one. We are a community team that writes code, tests it on real writing tasks, and ships tools that we ourselves use.
Our tools are made for everyday writing work rather than for demonstration. They include:
The basic tools are free to use. Heavier usage, larger quotas and API access are supported by paid plans, which is how we pay for the servers that keep the free tools running.
Our work stands on the shoulders of the open-source community. We build on open-source technology and open standards, and we are grateful to the projects and maintainers whose work makes our tools possible. Where we can, we contribute improvements back to the projects we depend on.
Third-party components used in or with our services remain the property of their respective owners and are used under their own licence terms. Their licences continue to govern those components, and nothing in our terms or policies grants you any rights in them.
Attribution and licence enquiries. If you are a rights holder and believe that a credit, licence notice or attribution is missing, or you would like us to correct how a project is credited, please write to freeeim@gmail.com and we will address it promptly.
We read what we receive, and we prefer specific reports to general complaints:
